Zambian Vice-President Guy Scott has been named acting pioneer after the downfall of President Michael Sata.
Presidential races to pick an unchanging successor will be held inside 90 days, Defense Minister Edgar Lungu said.
Mr Scott, who is of Scottish drop, transforms into Africa's first white head of state for quite a while.
